The EYE Film Institute at the north bank of the river IJ behind Amsterdam Central Station dominates the cityscape. With its radiant facade made of aluminized sandwich panels, the complex reflects light and changes the color of the building depending on the weather. The architects developed the building design like a storyboard.

Titanic Belfast, Belfast (UK), 2012

A new visitor center is located on the site where the Titanic was once built. The spectacular structure, which shimmers like an iceberg, recounts the story of the legendary ship, vividly portraying the social and economic conditions in Belfast in the early 20th century.

Al Bahar Towers, Abu Dhabi (UAE), 2012

An outer skin comprising 2,099 cream-colored, translucent elements covers the facade of the Al Bahar Towers in Abu Dhabi. The inspiration for this computer-controlled shading screen was the traditional Arabian latticework known as “mashrabiya”. This solution has resulted in the sustainable towers featuring a reduction in energy consumption of around 50 percent.
