Supplier Code of Conduct
For a transparent and lasting partnership
Since 2007, Geberit requires its suppliers to sign the Supplier Code of Conduct. This Code is based on the Code of Conduct for Employees and lays the foundations for a transparent and lasting partnership.
The Code of Conduct contains important basic principles and rules of conduct for the cooperation as well as for the maintenance of business relations. The primary concern is compliance with human rights and applicable laws. Child and forced labour are prohibited, as too is the discrimination of employees. Furthermore, Geberit advocates for transparency with regard to further training, fair wages and the minimisation of safety risks in the workplace.
Ecology also a key aspect
As sustainability is very important to Geberit, the Supplier Code of Conduct also contains a section on this topic requiring suppliers to minimise the unfavourable environmental impacts of their activities, products and services and to do everything in their power to protect the environment in order to safeguard the interests of future generations.
Compliance with the Code of Conduct is regularly verified by Geberit by means of self-assessment forms filled in by the suppliers as well as unannounced on-site audits. A violation of the Code can lead to the termination of the business relationship if the identified breaches are not remedied.
