A replacement bath on wheels
Renovation with comfort

A mobile construction trailer makes renovations convenient: customers of French installer Nicolas Coindet don't have to do without their bathroom during the construction phase – and can try out new Geberit products at the same time.

French plumbing and heating engineer Nicolas Coindet's idea is both unusual and ingenious. When customers have their bathrooms renovated, they are usually severely restricted during the construction work. So why not provide them with a fully equipped replacement bathroom for this period?

This innovative idea was very well received by Geberit's sales company in France. They supported the owner of Lecoq, a specialist plumbing and heating company, in implementing the project.

The aim was to equip a mobile construction trailer with a fully-fledged bathroom that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of comfort. This allows customers to continue enjoying all the amenities of a bathroom during renovation work and to try out the products recommended by the installer.

Nicolas Coindet's mobile construction trailer has been in operation since June 2024. It is equipped with a shower, washbasin and toilet area. The Duofix installation systems are mounted on a partial or full-height pre-wall. “We have attached Plexiglas to the pre-wall so that we can also show customers the sanitary technology behind the wall,“ explains Nicolas Coindet.

The products installed include a floor-level Olona shower area, a Geberit ONE washbasin and furniture combination, and the new AquaClean Alba shower toilet. A booklet inside the trailer provides information about the products, their use and care.

Positive feedback

When asked how the mobile bathroom is being received by customers, Nicolas Coindet gives a positive assessment. He was particularly pleased with the reaction of his first customer, who had originally planned to rent a caravan for the duration of the renovation. He collects further feedback in a guest book, which is available in the construction trailer.

As an experienced trainer and ambassador for WorldSkills, a global vocational competition, Nicolas Coindet is particularly keen to promote the profession of plumbing and heating engineer to young people. He therefore also uses the mobile trailer for training purposes in the Nantes region.
