Experience report by Manuela Epple
Several years of experience in purchasing, first as a strategic buyer and later as lead buyer, enabled me to work with suppliers and other Geberit plants and gain valuable experience. Various projects within the purchasing organization as well as across the disciplines with other departments and plants enabled me to develop continuously. With the taking over of the entire purchasing controlling for the Geberit Group a few years ago, I was placed in great trust, which I have highly appreciated.
Today, I manage the Reporting, Process & Strategy Compliance department within Corporate Purchasing. A wide range of tasks as well as the excellent cooperation with colleagues worldwide characterize my enormously varied working environment. By consistently and efficiently implementing innovations and improvements in the purchasing environment, we make a valuable contribution to Geberit's success together with our colleagues in the plants. Independent and autonomous work and action, a high degree of creative freedom in one's own area of responsibility, a clear focus on objectives as well as cooperation in teams characterize Geberit.
