Getting started made easy
Sales Development Programme
Geberit has recently added a new talent development programme to its training offer. It enables university graduates to enter the world of sales. The first participant, David Delibato, tells us more.
“There’s little that’s more beautiful” Anyone who answers the question of whether regular business trips aren’t too much with these words is simply made for sales. David Delibato (26) has only been with Geberit for a few months, but he is already passionate about his role. The business graduate is the first participant in Geberit’s new talent development programme.
Good experiences
The Sales Development Programme (SDP) is modelled on the Operations Development Programme (ODP), which focuses on production and logistics. It was launched last year. “After the positive experience with the ODP, we now want to inspire more university talent for sales,” says Claudia Straub from Group HR, who helped develop the programme.
A taste of the sanitary industry
The first SDP participant is no stranger to Pfullendorf (DE). “During my studies, I already had the chance to get a taste of the blue sanitary air through an internship.”
For his master's thesis, he helped implement a data protection concept at Geberit’s German location. “I often talked to sales colleagues and gained a lot of insights into the operational business,” he says. “That’s how I quickly realized that field sales was the right fit for me.”

Unconditional support
He came across Geberit’s new development programme on LinkedIn. Now he is getting to know the various areas of sales on both national and international level. He is already playing a significant role in projects at the interface between management, field sales and back office: “I still have some catching up to do in the technical field. But settling in here is easy.” His colleagues offer him unconditional support and are always ready to share their extensive expertise.

About the Sales Development Programme
The programme is aimed at university graduates with a business or technical background. It starts with an introduction at a Geberit sales location in Germany or Sweden. Participants then work on projects at an international sales location for at least one year. The goal is to prepare them for a future management position, ideally in their home country.
