“We have the water flow under control”

The Geberit WC System

With the WC System, Geberit provides a comprehensive solution for this key area of the bathroom. An interview with Marcel Heierli, Head of Development, about the ideas behind it.

Geberit has launched the WC System. What is the basic idea here?
As the market leader in concealed solutions, we aim to optimally coordinate the water flow between the concealed cistern and the ceramic appliance. This is the core idea of the WC System.

Which components does the WC System include?
The centrepiece is the new Duofix element including the cistern as well as the flush valve Type 212 and fill valve Type 383. Additionally, we have the WC ceramic appliances with optimised TurboFlush and flush actuation via the actuator plates. As a result, the WC System not only ensures an optimal water flow – the perfectly coordinated installation and the wide range of designs for the WC ceramic appliances and actuator plates are also among the advantages.

What is the specific added value?
End users appreciate the perfect coordination of the components, which not only maximises flush performance, but also enables easy cleaning. Plumbers benefit from simple installation. Meanwhile, architects love the creative freedom offered by the extensive range of designs.

What can we expect from Geberit in the future?
We will continue to follow our philosophy of taking small steps. Evolution instead of revolution is our credo. Our engineers will come up with new, good ideas and we will continue to listen carefully to our customers. We will incorporate small improvements on an ongoing basis and, when the time is right, we will present the next milestone.
